The garden was originally planted by Lady Tiarke in the 1940s. This lady was famous for English formal gardens. Michael’s client upon purchasing the house immediately reorganized the basic pattern that Lady Tiarke set, which had deteriorated during of WWII. It represents a purely English concept of “green rooms”. One vista as you would move from one room to the other, would give you a sense of this green privacy.
